This excursion to Catalina Island is the perfect opportunity to unwind on its beaches and go snorkeling. You'll spend a dreamlike day in this Caribbean paradise of the Dominican Republic. Itinerary After picking you up from your hotel in Punta Cana at the designated time, we will head by vehicle to the port of La Romana. There, we will board an animated catamaran that will take us to our destination. Sail away! First, we will stop at a coral reef where you can snorkel. You’ll be amazed by the variety of marine life in the Caribbean seabed: tropical fish, algae, and colorful coral formations. After this stop, we will head to Catalina Island, a protected islet located within the Cotubanamá National Park. During the voyage, you can enjoy drinks of your choice including soft drinks, water, rum, and beer. Once we anchor on the beach of Catalina Island, you will have the rest of the day free to enjoy this dreamy spot at your own pace. You can experience the tranquility of the environment lying on the sand and swimming in the warm Caribbean waters. Drinks will also be available for you here. What a life! Pick up Point: Puerta del Conde at 7:30am Parque Colon (Next to Pizzarelli) at 7:45am Are you hungry? You can indulge in a buffet lunch with typical Dominican food. In the afternoon, we will return by catamaran to the port of La Romana, where we will take the vehicle again to leave you at your hotel approximately 10 hours after the pickup. Esta excursión a Isla Catalina es la ocasión perfecta para desconectar en sus playas y practicar snorkel. Pasaréis un día de ensueño en este paraíso del Caribe dominicano. Itinerario Tras recogeros en vuestro hotel de Punta Cana a la hora indicada, nos dirigiremos en vehículo hacia el puerto de La Romana. Allí, subiremos a un catamarán con animación a bordo que nos llevará hasta nuestro destino. ¡Zarpamos! En primer lugar, nos detendremos en una barrera de coral donde podréis practicar snorkel. Os sorprenderá la variedad de fauna del fondo marino del Caribe: peces tropicales, algas y coloridas formaciones de coral. Después de esta parada, nos dirigiremos hasta Isla Catalina, un islote protegido ubicado dentro del Parque Nacional Cotubanamá. Durante la travesía, podréis disfrutar de bebidas a elegir entre refrescos, agua, ron y cerveza. Una vez fondeemos en la playa de Isla Catalina, tendréis el resto del día libre para disfrutar a vuestro aire de este rincón de ensueño. Podréis experimentar la tranquilidad del entorno tumbados en la arena y nadando en las cálidas aguas del Caribe. Aquí también tendréis bebidas a vuestra disposición. ¡Qué vida! Punto de recogida: Puerta del Conde a las 7:30 am Parque Colon (Al lado de Pizzarelli) a las 7:45 am ¿Tenéis hambre? Allí podréis deleitaros con un almuerzo buffet de comida típica dominicana. Por la tarde, regresaremos en catamarán al puerto de La Romana, donde tomaremos de nuevo el vehículo para dejaros en vuestro hotel unas 10 horas después de la recogida. ¿Qué incluye? No incluye recogida en hoteles Does not include hotel pick-up Requisitos What To Bring: -Bring your best swim suit -Bring a hat, sunglasses and sun screen -Be ready to take the hot dominican sun -Sandals or watershoes are the best option since you´ll board the catamaran barefoot. - Dry clothes/footwear to change afterwards (Dressing room is limited and crowded, be ready to change by the bus) - A towel - A plastic bag to put your wet clothes - You won´t have lunch untill 12-1pm. It´s recommended to bring a snack. You will bearly have time to buy things on the way -Good vibes! Qué llevar: -Lleva tu mejor traje de baño -lleva gafas, sombrero y bloqueador solar -Prepárate para el sol caliente de RD -Las sandalias y zapatos de agua son el mejor calzado. El catamarán lo abordamos descalzos. -Lleva ropa y calzado seco para cambiarte al terminar (Los baños/vestidores se congestionan mucho, ve preparado para cambiarte afuera) -Lleva una toalla y una bolsa para echar tu ropa mojada. Puedes dejar todo esto en el bus y cambiarte al llegar -No se almuerza sino hasta las 12-1pm. Sería ideal que lleves snacks, hay muy poco tiempo para comprar comida de camino.
